The Wicker Effect is both a legacy and a mission. It began as a tribute to my late wife, Kamarae, who fully embraced its meaning and spirit. My wife could tell that God was using me to bring out the best in others, and she often encouraged me to keep leaning into that calling.

The name was first spoken during a turning point in my coaching journey, when the work with one client began producing results far beyond what anyone expected.

After several sessions, the client’s organization experienced a noticeable transformation—the team was collaborating in new, life-giving ways, and their performance soared. In one meeting, a leader paused, looked around the room, and said, “You know what’s happening here, don’t you? This is The Wicker Effect.”

That moment captured something deeper than improved teamwork. It named the ripple effect that occurs when people step into their true potential—when individuals and organizations align with purpose, cultivate trust, and create lasting impact. The phrase stuck. The team even gifted me a basket of merchandise branded with The Wicker Effect as a symbol of what had taken root.

When Kamarae passed away, I knew the name would carry forward in her honor. Renaming my coaching company The Wicker Effect became more than a business decision—it became a calling. Every interaction, every session, every life touched is a way of serving others, advancing God’s Kingdom, and living out the truth that He has a purpose for each of us.

As Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us:
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

The Wicker Effect is that plan in action—transforming lives, strengthening teams, and leaving a legacy of growth, unity, and hope.
